GREEN CAMPUS Köln Revitalising urban spaces
In the centre of Cologne, a visionary quarter is being created that not only connects the districts Ehrenfeld and Lindenthal, but also serves as a beacon project for modern office working environments and a high quality of life. A sustainable urban design will transform the so far completely sealed area into a vibrant centre. Three innovative office buildings are being built on 1.4 ha, harmoniously linked by green paths, playgrounds and quiet zones, which together form the Green Campus.
Once completed, the campus will not only offer modern office space but also a variety of uses on the ground floors: from shops and restaurants to cultural facilities, such as artist's workrooms and art galleries, which will attract a lively neighbourhood.
The design of the Green Campus sets standards in terms of sustainability and climate resilience, with robust and flexible structures for a long-term stability of value. High-quality architecture, site upgrading and environmental compatibility go hand in hand here, supported by the targeted certification "DGNB Platinum" and ESG criteria.
The mobility concept integrates a mobility hub, bicycle parking spaces, e-charging stations and optimised footways and cycle paths whilst ensuring excellent public transport connections.
